What date do you think Jesus will come back, if at all. Give all of your opinion.

Not saying anything about jesus but, I think the Mayan calendar is different from ours and the day actually already passed.

I'm not a Christian or anything but I'm pretty sure it says in the bible that we don't get to know what day Jesus will be returning.

Besides December 21, 2012 is the end of the mayan calendar which has nothing to do with Jesus. But considering all the calendar changes and stuff the mayan calendar technically ended a few years ago.

    Neither.

There is no reasonable basis for anticipating an early 'end of the world.'

If you consider Christian Scripture to be a 'reasonable basis,' then know that it repeatedly rejects the idea that Christ's return is predictable:

Neither...The end of the world is when each of us passes on and the question of when this will be is up to our Creator.

Well, I hope its not 24/07 cos it's my birthday on the 25th,  I can't see what relevance the Jesus bit is.

The end of the world as we know it is when Jesus comes back, like in the Bible. There will be a battle and the devil will be locked away for 1,000 years then there will be a final battle of good and evil says the H2 Channel....

I'm an atheist, so I don't believe in Jesus. I'm guessing that the Mayans didn't either, so if the end of the world were to happen on 12/21/12, it probably wouldn't have anything to do with Jesus.

I've decided that, with so many doomsday predictions, I'm just going to follow Tim McGraw's advice and live like I'm dying. It saves me a lot of anxiety. I just don't know where to find a bull named Fu Manchu.

Jesus said we should not believe anyone who claims to be the Messiah or anyone who claims to know when He is coming again. The second coming of Jesus will be sudden, unexpected and unmistakable, like lightning flashing across the sky (Matthew 24:23-51, Mark 13:21-23, 13:32-37 Luke 17:20-37). The important thing is not to know when or how the end will come, but to be spiritually prepared when it does (Matthew 25:1-13 Matthew 24:42-44, Luke 21:34-36, 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3).

The rapture will take place before the tribulation period. Followed by Jesus Christ's second coming. The tribulation period is going to be like hell on earth. People will still have a chance to be saved during this period, once Jesus comes back, however, time has run out for the evil of the world and it will be destroyed.

STAND! Exactly, and are the signs not oh so evident these days.  I tremble at it in awe that it remains a mystery to some, even though I know that it is God that opens our eyes to exactly what you have written.  Voted up!  Wished I could 100x's!

The world will end itself some day which will be unlikely in 2012.

How fast or soon will the world ends depending on us. The rate of destruction as we deplete the earth resources.

I got a kick out of how much money was spent on fireworks in my own hometown during the middle of a drought.  Meanwhile, Colorado is getting smeared by flames.  We could have saved all that money spent on firing it up for freedom and independence, and sent it to the suffering burn-outs of the mile-high state.

Selfishly stupid is the thought that comes to mind.  A blistering and dry NC when the 4th came around.  It may not be the end of the world, but with thinking (or the lack thereof) of the variety that was demonstrated during my NC 4th, I would not say that it is long before the world does end.  It looks like we want it to.

The book of Peter says "God promised that he will not destroy the world by flood again, but that when he destroys it this time, it will be by unquenchable flames."

Man just can't get over fire...some say the many will see it in eternity.  Incidentally, "Our God is a consuming fire."  Same book, different context.  Happy 4th, but I pray we all get right with God.

    Sincerely!

Dec 21 2012 is not the end of the world. It is the beginning of a new era. We are supposedly to experience 60-70 hours of darkness on that day as the earth will be going through the dark hole and lining up with all the other planets in a straight line. What happens then is up to GOD.  Some believe that we are going to live through the first half of the tribulation and then Christ will come. The trumpets will sound and everyone in the world will hear and see Christ  come for his people. Yes, the ones who have not accepted him will still have a chance to do so in the remainder of the tribulation. But according to Brother Crafflo Dollar the ones who are left behind that accept Jesus during the rest of  the tribulation will have to experience death, they will not be risen up like the rapture, and the ones before them.  The earth will not be destroyed as we will be put back on the earth and reign with Jesus for a thousand years.  Some believe we are in the tribulation right now.  Whether we are or not, it would be wise to be ready for the appearance of Christ because most of the Pastors are saying that the rapture is right around the corner, and to have that many people who know their Bible quite well and who also speak with the Holy Spirit and have visions of the future cannot all be wrong about what is coming!   Sure they don't know the day or hour but they have a good idea about when because of the signs spoken of in Revelations,  and what is going to happen.

I feel the world will not end on either July 24 2012 or December 21, 2012. We can neither confirm or deny what will happen. However I am sure the human race will not end because the whole earth cannot be impacted by an asteroid because the earth is a sphere. Secondly the human race is well equipped to survive. We will either pulverize the incoming asteroid by nuclear explosion or if at all it hits the earth we will have strategies in place for the human race to survive.

Now that I've watched the movie "2012" eight times, I don't think we have to worry about the end of the world until Woody Harrelson assumes his character of Charlie and moves to Yellowstone to keep us up to date on the volcanic activity.
If an asteroid is heading our way, we've always got Bruce Willis to defend us!!
If you want a Biblical prediction, it's a mystery.
If you want a Christian's Crackpot Theory, I'll offer this:
First Premise:Three days between Death and Resurrection of Jesus.
Second Premise: One day is as a thousand years to God.
Conclusion: Christ's Return will be "on the third day"...3,033AD, given the comparative length of time and the date of His Death and Resurrection.

The earth revolves arond the sun not human beings.  So when the sun dies or cannot sustain the earth any longer then that is it the earth dies.  The human race may kill themselves off long before that, I hope not but who knows smile.

    Best wishes.

The Mayan calendar didn't take in account the Julian Calendar.  We have added ~500 days to the calendar with leap year since Julius Caesar had it created.  If you were to subtract that, the "mayan calendar" would indicate that the world would end ~500 days before December 21, 2012, after the subtraction.  So the mayan end of the world already happened about a year and a half ago.  As far as the Bible is concerned, if you can't see it, hear it, feel it, smell it, then... who cares?  If it is true, it is.  If not, oh well.  It's not like we could have done anything anyway.

it is saying that the end of the world is going to be on 21st December 2012 . But no one knows whether its going to be end of the world or not .
so just chill n enjoy your life . Don't worry about what is going to happen next.
Just think about what we can do now.

I have heard Dec. 21st 2012. We should all be prepared! Just kidding.
There have been many predictions, and there will always be predictions for when Jesus is coming or when the world will end.

Jesus could come tomorrow. Who knows? Live life, the way you want. If you want to follow the bible go for it if not, more power to ya. I am not one to judge smile

I don't believe these end of the world theories that have been around in 2012. I think the world will still be there next year and the year after that. Yes one day the earth will end and mighty god will call time on the earth but that is many many millions of years away in my opinion. There is a lot more to come before the world will end.

It was December 21,2012 ,but nothing happened on the day. We can not predict when Jesus will come back,Jesus is everywhere to help if you believe.
